Temi’s Slaw

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cabbage -21 calories
  • 0.5 cup carrots – 26 calories
  • 0.5 tbsp onions – 2 calories
  • 1/8 Cup Flaked smoked/canned fish – 38 calories (OPTIONAL)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
  1. Using about a tbsp of water, steam cabbage and carrots on medium heat for about 5 minutes to soften it a little.
  2. Add onions and fish to the cabbage and carrots, add salt and pepper; and let sit on low heat for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Enjoy.

TOTAL calories: 87 calories (with fish); 49 calories (without fish)

Less healthy alternative:

1 cup coleslaw with dressing 269 calories; 23.6g of fat
