Oil Free Akara Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • Akara mix
  • Zero or low-calorie cooking spray.


Instructions:

  1. Spray some cooking oil in your pan. (NOTE: use low to medium heat, because cooking oil burns/browns really fast, as you’ll notice in my video).
  2. Scoop a tablespoon of akara mix and add to the pan. Spread it out flat.
  3. Let sit for about 3-5 minutes and flip to other side for about the same time.
  4. Flip over again for 30secs to make sure it cooks through.
  5. Serve & Enjoy.
TOTAL calories:

Not sure how many calories. But definitely a better alternative. One tablespoon of oil is 120 calories

Less healthy alternative:

  • Regular akara 70 – 100 calories per ball (depending on the size).
